The first earth to change is us. As we inhabit our earthly bodies, may we acquire renewed minds and replaced hearts--hearts of flesh for our hearts of stone, Lord.
Saints, I am forwarding to you a special invitation. Please prayerfully participate and/or pass it on as God directs. I can attest to the serious legislative, national and international policy work accomplished over the years through our sister, Laura Lederer. One is not required to become a "not-for- profit" to align with Laura in this cause. Indeed, I am quite sure she would welcome corporate support from the business-minded within the Body of Christ who are willing to step up to the plate. Please pray about the initiative described at the end of this blog entry. And, remember, "Faith without works is dead!"

<Dear Colleague:
On behalf of Laura Lederer and Steve Wagner, I would like to invite you to join the Triple S Network (Triple S for “Stop Sex Slavery"), a new informal network of abolitionist organizations, survivor-centered service providers, and others who share a goal of eliminating sex slavery in the United States and around the world.
Our mission is four fold:
1. Strength in Unity. To provide a unified voice for like-minded organizations – on the Hill and in other venues. Together we are stronger and can make our voice heard.
2. Advocacy and Lobbying. To educate, advocate, and to the extent possible under our non profit status, lobby for grants, contracts, earmarks, and other larger resources for which we individually we would not qualify.
3. Training and Technical Assistance. To provide training and technical assistance on a variety of anti-trafficking issues, including victim services, rescue and restoration, demand, law and law enforcement issues, and more.
4. Situation Awareness. To assist individual members in assessing progress made on abolishing trafficking, and understanding complex obstacles and challenges facing the global anti-trafficking community.
Please let me know if you are interested and feel free to forward this message to others you think might be interested. Our first product will be a website that is a central space listing of the groups under Triple S Network. Presently, it will simply state our purpose and have a list of all network members and a link to their own websites.
Over the next month, we hope to convene a conference call to get acquainted and kick off the network.
