Church,
Before we point fingers beyond ourselves, I suggest that we consider the spiritual implications of the above. I believe that right response would be for us to immediately begin to do with great diligence exactly what Jesus tells us to do in Matthew 28:18-20,
Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."
I believe we are seeing the fruit of our indifference this command, including the last part that says, "...teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you."
To be effective, we must believe in the inerrancy of the Holy Bible and act accordingly. The willingness to compromise on the Word of God erodes the credibility of the Gospel in the eyes of those outside our faith. Folks from other belief systems like Islam are acting on what they believe to be true. We, on the other hand, actually have the Truth yet are willing to adulterate it with ideas completely counter to the Bible. This is not good, Saints. It gives enemies of the God of the Holy Bible reason to blaspheme His Name.
Judgment for US as a nation begins in the House of God. And, we are seeing it. If you want the political ramifications, see Atlas Shrugs
Yep. Here is yet one more thing to pray about.
Church, may we become more diligent in sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ! Amen!
