Urgent Prayer Alert: New Jersey Same-Sex Marriage Vote Imminent

Dear Praying Friends,
This afternoon, the New Jersey Senate Judiciary Committee will vote on S-1967, the "Freedom of Religion and Equality in Civil Marriage Act," a bill to legalize same-sex marriage in the Garden State.
Homosexual activists are feverishly pressing for a vote this week, while Governor Jon Corzine (D) is still in office. Corzine, who supports same-sex marriage, was defeated in last month's election by Christopher Christie (R), who promises to veto any such bill. With big wins for traditional marriage in Maine and New York last month, and a new GOP governor, this will be the last opportunity activists have to enact their homosexual marriage agenda in New Jersey for at least 4 more years.
If the bill is voted out of committee, a vote by the entire Senate will be scheduled for Thursday.
Len Deo, President of the New Jersey Family Policy Council, is asking God's praying people across the nation to join him in prayer and fasting between the hours of 12 Noon and 6 PM, Monday, when the committee hearing will take place (see News Story).

If you have friends in New Jersey, please urge them to contact their state senators right away and respectfully ask them to vote to defeat any effort to redefine marriage. May New Jersey Senate office phones ring off the hook today as God-fearing citizens call upon their Senators to represent say "NO!" to same-sex marriage! (Ps 94:14-23; 110:3; Pr 28:4; Is 6:8; 50:7-10)
May God grant favor to pro-family lawmakers in Trenton and impart to them strength, courage, and stamina. May they speak boldly and with power and effectiveness to stop this measure (Josh 23:6-13; Acts 14:3; 19:8; Gal 6:9; Eph 6:10, 19-20).
May this bill die in committee, in both the New Jersey Senate and House, never to rise again (Gen 19:13; Ex 15:1-21; Ps 9:1-6; Is 10:1-4; 26:13-14; Am 8:14).
