Prayer Request....

Dear Saints,

If you are like me, you may be experiencing a number of challenges that comes as a consequence of the actions of some very "mean-spirited" folk.

For those who may not know what I mean, by "mean-spirited" I am talking about those individuals who either orchestrate or otherwise tolerate strategically targeted injustices.

The support system for the mean-spirited are those who turn a "deaf" ear to cries against such injustices.

And, Yes, I am talking about presumed members of the Body of Christ who could easily put an end to the problem, but instead opt to do nothing.

In many respects, the tolerators are more problematic than the perpetrators because theirs is a violation of James 4:17, the Holy Bible.

"Anyone, then, who knows the good he ought to do and doesn't do it, sins."

Operating much like Pilate, knowing better yet for "political" reasons, the fear of man, and/or their arrogance, tolerators choose not to intervene.

I am so thankful that I like Joseph can say after all that his brothers put him through, "What you meant for evil, God meant for good." This pronouncement is possible only because of the grace of God as I encounter the rippling effect of that, that evil-doing daily. And, make no mistake about it, I do take consolation also in the fact that God is a God of Justice. It is He Who says, "Vengence is Mine. I will repay."

Confronted now with an avalanche of spin-off effects of those tolerated "mean-spirited" actions, we are showered by challenges that resemble the arrow King Saul thrust at David.

God can do something about this!

I need God to stay the hand of the enemy.

So, here is my prayer request.
I ask that you pray for divine intervention. Pray that God will not permit members of our family nor I to be put to shame. I have forgiven individuals[the human beings for triggering] but I want God's intervention to stop the rippling effects and anyone who insists on perpetuating further activity, the "mean spirit" that motivated and continue to motivate the mechanisms, financial and legal, that have been set into motion by those individuals, and by those who remain silent.

God is my strength and my power. He maketh my way perfect.
I stand on this TRUTH,the TRUTH of Psalm 18:32 and 2 Samuel 22:33.

I now cry out to You, LORD GOD, against what is happening to us!
I will cry out to You, LORD GOD, until this problem is resolved!
I do not cry out to man. What can man do for me?
You hold the heart of each and every living soul in Your hand.

To that end, I pray the prayer that David prayed in Psalm 109.

I pray this in the confidence that if I am "wrong" for wanting the following, "no undeserved curse will light." Proverb 26:2

On the other hand, if there is as I suspect a very well-choreographed initiative afoot, may God hear this prayer and act.

May God grant to us God-honoring wisdom. And, throughout this process, may neither I nor my family pose a stumbling block to anyone who genuinely seeks to know and honor God.

In the name of Christ Jesus I pray in the full confidence that You, LORD God,see and hear me.

To You Who are the One Who overturned the tables of "money changers" in the Temple,I pray.
Amen.

P.S.If any of you are in a similar circumstance, you may consider praying this prayer, too. [It is not a "politically correct" prayer. It is a real prayer done by a real person who had real enemies. If that fits you, feel free to join me.]

Psalm 109 says,

"My God, Whom I praise, do not remain silent, for people who are wicked and deceitful have opened their mouths against me; they have spoken against me with lying tongues.

With words of hatred they surround me; they attack me without cause.

In return for my friendship they accuse me, but I am a man of prayer.

They repay me evil for good, and hatred for my friendship.

Appoint someone evil to oppose my enemy; let an accuser stand at his right hand.

When he is tried, let him be found guilty, and may his prayers condemn him.

May his days be few; may another take his place of leadership.

May his children be fatherless and his wife a widow.

May his children be wandering beggars; may they be driven from their ruined homes.

May a creditor seize all he has; may strangers plunder the fruits of his labor.

May no one extend kindness to him or take pity on his fatherless children.

May his descendants be cut off, their names blotted out from the next generation.

May the iniquity of his fathers be remembered before the LORD; may the sin of his mother never be blotted out.

May their sins always remain before the LORD, that He may blot out their name from the earth.

For he never thought of doing a kindness, but hounded to death the poor
and the needy and the brokenhearted.

He loved to pronounce a curse—may it come back on him.

He found no pleasure in blessing—may it be far from him.

He wore cursing as his garment; it entered into his body like water, into his bones like oil.

May it be like a cloak wrapped about him, like a belt tied forever around him.

May this be the LORD’s payment to my accusers, to those who speak evil of me.

But you, Sovereign LORD, help me for Your Name’s Sake; out of the goodness of Your love, deliver me.

For I am poor and needy, and my heart is wounded within me.

I fade away like an evening shadow; I am shaken off like a locust.

My knees give way from fasting; my body is thin and gaunt.

I am an object of scorn to my accusers; when they see me, they shake their heads.

Help me, LORD my God; save me according to your unfailing love.

Let them know that it is your hand, that You, LORD, have done it.

While they curse, may You bless; may those who attack me be put to shame, but may Your servant rejoice.

May my accusers be clothed with disgrace and wrapped in shame as in a cloak.

With my mouth I will greatly extol the LORD; in the great throng of worshipers I will praise Him.

For He stands at the right hand of the needy, to save their lives from those who would condemn them."

I abide in You, Lord God!
I stand on Your promises.
Thank You for Your Unfailing Love.
