"Mordecai" -- The Lyrics Sung by Josh Williams... Bluegrass,Y'all!

Personally thankful for the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob!
America, Let's Bless Israel!
--Livvy McDonald :)<>< Standing on Psalm 52:8-9

"Josh Williams sings Mark Mathewson's Mordecai at the Doyle Lawson Bluegrass Festival at Denton Farm Park in Denton, NC on May 5, 2011. During this song, a small bird lands on Josh's guitar while he's singing. Watch his reaction as he keeps his cool and finishes the song." ---Compliments of YouTube, Posted by KeeneValleyGuy

Josh Williams - Mordecai lyrics
We’d see him in the distance on the trail along the rim
His silver head against the mountain sky
And Grandmas face would open up when she saw that it was him
And she’d say Daddy grab a chair its Mordecai

And it seemed to me he brought a country store there on his back
As he layed it all before us on the ground
And I knew he’d finally reach into that ragged old back pack
For the candy that he always brought around

Chorus

He Said
My Papa was a wandering Jew and it’s my fate to be one too
I’ll roam these mountain trails until I die
Perhaps one day I’ll see my home and then he smiled and turned to go
And we all said goodbye to Mordecai

One evening when he stayed with us I saw him at his prayers
As the last light trickled through the cabin door
And he stood before the little yellow candle burning there
Softly speaking words I’d never heard before
And I told him how my Grandma said it troubled her mind so
Such a fine man wasn’t washed in the blood of the lamb
He smiled and said “Tell Grandma if it pleases her to know
That She and I both pray to the God of Abraham”

Chorus

It’s been so long now since I’ve left that hillside far behind
For a place I’ve never truly called my home
And more and more these days I see him walking in my mind
Through the misty mountain distance all alone

Mordecai was a wandering Jew, in my own way I am one too
I hope to make it home before I die
And if I should ever find my way I’ll light a candle at his grave
And say one more goodbye to Mordecai

Harmony, Y'all!

Psalm 33: 1-11, Holy Bible

Sing joyfully to the LORD, you righteous; it is fitting for the upright to praise Him.

Praise the LORD with the harp; make music to Him on the ten-stringed lyre.

Sing to Him a new song; play skillfully, and shout for joy.

For the word of the LORD is right and true; He is faithful in all He does.

The LORD loves righteousness and justice; the earth is full of His unfailing love.

By the word of the LORD were the heavens made, their starry host by the breath of His mouth.

He gathers the waters of the sea into jars; He puts the deep into storehouses.

Let all the earth fear the LORD; let all the people of the world revere Him.

For He spoke, and it came to be; He commanded and it stood firm.

The LORD foils the plans of the nations; He thwarts the purposes of the peoples.

But the plans of the LORD stand firm forever, the purposes of His heart through all generations.

Matthew 9:27-29

"Prayer has always been used in this country for guidance, protection and strength-even before we were a nation or a handful of colonies. The Pilgrims at Plymouth relied on prayer during their first and darkest winter....

"Our founding fathers also called for prayer during the Constitutional Congress. In their eyes, our recently created nation and freedoms were a direct gift from God. And being a gift from God, there was only one way to insure protection-through prayer....

"We must continue to pray that God protects our way of life, asking that He would install in office men and women who are committed to serving their constituents with integrity. And we must remain in prayer for our elections, beseeching God to prompt our fellow citizens to become involved in this process. Voting is both a duty and a privilege, and the outcomes of our political races are critical in determining the future course of our nation.

"May God’s hand of wisdom and guidance remain upon each segment of our society, and through His Spirit, may believers be inspired to 'pray continually' (I Thessalonians 5:17). We are assured that the Almighty hears our petitions. As people from coast to coast lift their voices in prayer, repentance and humility, we simply cannot underestimate how the Lord will respond. Let us together come before His throne with these words on our lips and in our hearts, 'God bless America!'”

Friends in High Places

Little is Much When God is in It....

Dear Saints,

It's not over yet!
In fact, this is a good day to do the impossible to the glory of God in Christ Jesus, our LORD! Hallelujah!

So, let's pray for God-fearing wisdom to be exercised by authorities in every state of our nation.

Pray that God-honoring decisions will be made.

May God Bless all of the authorities that exercise the moral fortitude required to call evil,evil and good, good!

May those who know to do good no longer vacilate.
Let each stand up and act in favor of the good.

And, may God throw evil into confusion to be irreparably toppled.
In the name of Jesus Christ,our KING, we pray.
Amen!

Praise the LORD!

Praise God in His sanctuary;
Praise Him in His Mighty heavens.
Praise Him for His acts of power;
Praise Him for His surpassing greatness.
Praise Him with the sounding of the trumpet,
Praise Him with tamourine and dancing,
Praise Him with the strings and flute,
Praise Him with the clash of cymbals,
Praise Him with the resounding cymbals.

Let everything that has breath praise the LORD.

Praise the LORD.

Praise the LORD, Saints!
AMEN!

"Great is Your Mercy towards Me" Sung by Donnie McCurklin and Friends

Amen and Amen, Again! I know that's right!

Saints, Lamentations 3:22-26 reads,

The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases;
His mercies never come to an end;
they are new every morning;
great is your faithfulness
.
“The Lord is my portion,” says my soul,
“therefore I will hope in him.”

The Lord is good to those who wait for him,
to the soul who seeks him.
It is good that one should wait quietly
for the salvation of the Lord.
HALLELUJAH!
Amen!
