To the Church:
In Ephesis,....
"Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To the one who overcomes, I will give the right to eat from the tree of life, which is in the paradise of God." Revelation 2:7
In Smyrna,....
"Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches. The one who overcomes will not be hurt at all by the second death." Revelation 2:11
In Pergammon,....
"Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To the one who overcomes, I will give some of the hidden manna. I will also give that person a white stone with a new name written on it, known only to the one who receives it." Revelation 2:17
In Thyatira,....
"To the one who overcomes and does my will to the end, I will give authority over the nations---" Revelation 2:26
In Sardis,....
"The one who overcomes will, like them, be dressed in white. I will never blot out the name of that person from the book of life, but will acknowledge that name before my Father and his angels. Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches." Revelation 3:5-6
In Philadelphia,....
"I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown. The one who overcomes I will make a pillar in the temple of my God. Never again will they leave it. I will write on them the name of my God and the name of the city of my God, the new Jerusalem, which is coming down out of heaven from my God; and I will also write on them my new name. Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches. " Revelation 3:11-13
In Laodicea,....
"To the one who overcomes, I will give the right to sit with me on my throne, just as I was victorious and sat down with my Father on his throne. Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches.” Revelation 3:21-22
I thank You, Christ Jesus, for all the Pastors that faithfully preach the full written counsel of God, the entire Holy Bible. And, I ask a special blessing on the pastor that recently reminded me of the common denominator of "overcoming" found in the above verses.
What must be overcome is well described as the traits found in the seven churches of Revelation.
So, obviously, none of this takes You be surprize.
I also thank You that "All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work." 2 Timothy 3:16-17, The Holy Bible
To You, LORD God, belong all the honor and glory forever and ever.
Amen!
