Why the Holy Bible?

James 1:22-25 says,

"Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves.

Do what it says.

Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like someone who looks at his face in a mirror and, after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like.

But whoever looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues in it—not forgetting what they have heard, but doing it—they will be blessed in what they do."

AMEN!

My Postscript

Dear LORD,

I have a made-up mind to do what Your written Word, the Holy Bible, says. Often, I fall far short.I ask for God-honoring Wisdom that I may better serve You each day.

LORD, You know that I make no pretense of acceptance concerning "Evil" doings. I will continue to curse the diabolical spirit that propels all evil performed. I will do no less. Woe unto me should I ever begin to proclaim that which is "Good", "Evil" or that which is "Evil", "Good."

I will love what You love and hate what You hate, Christ Jesus.

Ever increasing appreciation of Your Holiness, LORD God, gives me a starkly more realistic [and alarming] view of my own personal wretchedness. While I am actively engaged in Ephesians 6 and all that entails, please continue to grant me the ability to demonstrably extend to my human enemies that grace I have so freely received from You.

My desire is to do Your will, LORD God!

For Your Name's Sake, Christ Jesus, I pray.
Amen.
